In order to download a Zoom meeting recording that someone else has created and saved to the cloud, a few different things need to happen: Here’s where things get a bit more complicated. There’s a shortcut to it in the desktop app, too.

If you’ve kept local recordings saved in their default locations, there are shortcuts for finding them on the Zoom website and in the Zoom desktop app. Also, remember that local recording isn’t available on mobile devices. Using editing software on your own computer is outside of the scope of this support document. You will need to download your recording from Zoom in order to be able to edit it offline. The campus provides licenses to Adobe Premiere and Camtasia to faculty and staff.

If you need to make more extensive edits, or trim out portions of the middle of the recording, you will need to edit offline using video editing software. You can use the arrows on the handle to advance one second at a time, or you can drag it to where you want using the mouse
